Abhishek beats ‘perfectionist’ Aamir to play Kishore Kumar

Even before the rumours of Aamir Khan to play the legendary singer Kishore Kumar died down, filmdom is going abuzz with yet another juicy piece of information. And the latest update is that the ever so perfectionist Aamir Khan has received an upset from none other than Junior B who has given him a beating to play the musician mogul.

With hits like ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, ‘A Wednesday’, ‘Fashion’ in its kitty has been spoiled for choice ever since it announced it’s plans to make a movie on the life of the great Kishore. After considering some of the biggies like ……..

Salman Khan, Govinda and Aamir Khan, the production house seems to have zeroed in the effervescent talent, Abhishek Bachchan.

The film directed by Sujit Sarkar will reveal some of the most interesting and shocking aspects about the legends life.

Speaking to a news daily Ram Mirchandani, COO, UTV Rampage Motion Pictures said “As a production house we are always excited about all our projects but this film is based on a legend called Kishore, so it’s super special. As a subject, Kishore Kumar’s life is very colorful. His love life, his career, his music, his marriages and above all his eccentricities, he was a complete entertainer.”

However after giving serious consideration to Aamir, going by the singers love to play practical jokes UTV decided to call up Abhishek for the part. “A good comic timing and an interesting personality, Abhishek is the apt choice”, said Mirchandani.
